Stay Green appoints Caruso account manager

first_imgStay Green Inc., a Santa Clarita landscape contracting firm, has recently appointed Michael Caruso as its account manager for Los Angeles County. Caruso will operate out of SGI’s L.A. branch office located in North Hollywood. Caruso’s duties include serving existing accounts, including meetings with property managers and owners, “walk-throughs” of properties, identifying and resolving client issues, directing landscape upgrades and enhancements, and managing the SGI crews that work in the region. Involved in the landscape business for the last 20 years in various parts of the country, including the East Coast and San Francisco, Caruso has grown to prefer the warm Southern California weather. A previous employer in the Bay Area, who happens to be a friend of SGI President Richard Angelo, referred him to SGI. Caruso is also experienced in water and energy conservation, which should result in major cost savings for his SGI clients. “As an account manager, I will always be on the front line of the company’s activities,” Caruso said. “I enjoy dealing with clients directly, ascertaining their needs and meeting those needs in a way that makes them happy and our company look good.” Regarding his goals for the position, the conservation-minded Caruso commented: “Our accounts in this region are spread out in a very large area. I am going to work to see that the gaps between clients are filled in with new customers. This will bring more efficiency to our crews and our workday.” SGI’s Financial Controller Chris Angelo welcomed Caruso to the Stay Green family. “Mike Caruso is an excellent communicator, a big-picture person and an experienced salesman,” Angelo said. “He will make an excellent addition to our growing L.A. County team.” The announcer-voiced Caruso has quite an interesting set of hobbies that include surfing, brewing his own beer, cooking, doing light gardening, and growing carnivorous plants. Can you say “Little Shop of Horrors”? He is newly married and lives in Redondo Beach. Stay Green Inc. is a family-owned landscape service firm providing landscape maintenance, tree and plant health care services in Southern California and just celebrated its 36th anniversary in business. President Richard Angelo is a past state president of CLCA and is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable and well-respected leaders in the landscape industry.
