Tyson Fury shows off bulked-up physique ahead of Wilder rematch

The former heavyweight wold champion has promised to KO his American rival after being denied victory by the judges in their first meeting in 2018. And he showed off his 19-stone frame as he posed for promotional photos ahead of the Las Vegas clash on February 22. Fury claimed in the caption that he will weigh 270lb in a fortnight, a stone heavier than he did for the first fight, and heavier than he has been since he scaled 276lb before beating Seferi in 2018. The giant Traveller was dropped twice by Wilder in Los Angeles but still looked to have done enough to win before the ringside judges scored the fight a draw. Fury has since ditched trainer Ben Davison for SugarHill Steward in the belief the nephew of the late, great Emanuel Steward, can help him stop the unbeaten champion. “They had to rob a man who had been out of the ring for three years and they still couldn’t beat him,” said Fury. “I’m not coming here for a points decision, I’ve had too many of them – nine of them – I’m coming here for a knockout, I’ve had 21 of them and from the heart that’s what I’m looking to do. “This is why I employed Sugar Hill. If I didn’t want a knockout, I wouldn’t have hired a Kronk trainer. If I didn’t want a knockout, I’d have kept Ben Davison and working on that herky-jerky style.” Fury, meanwhile, has admitted to having doubts about changing his trainer – but now believes it was the correct decision. “To train with someone and feel like an absolute novice is exciting,” he told BT Sport. “Me and SugarHill have not worked together for a long time and even before I only had a week with the guy. “Everything is different; I feel like I’m learning again, before we were polishing stuff I did good and it was a winning formula. “Now we’re working on stuff I don’t do so well and that’s new to me, and that’s the challenge. “I thought if there is anyone who is going to be a good heavyweight trainer it’s SugarHill and I believe the switch is a good thing. “I wasn’t so sure at the beginning, you never know what you’re going to get with a new trainer and your whole team is separated, but after three weeks together I knew it was going to be a fantastic choice.”Tags: Ben DavisonDeontay WilderSefer SeferiSugarhill StewardTyson Furylast_img read more
