Virat Kohli scored his 42nd century in ODIs in previous match.India last lost an ODI series to West Indies in 2006.The first match of the three-match series was abandoned in Guyana. highlightscenter_img New Delhi: Shikhar Dhawan would be desperate for a big knock after four consecutive failures as India eye another series victory when they clash with the West Indies in the third and final ODI at Port of Spain on Wednesday. With scores of 1, 23, 3 in the Twenty series and single-digit score of 2 in the second ODI, Dhawan’s comeback post injury has been far from ideal. Troubled by in-coming deliveries, twice Dhawan lost his wicket to pacer Sheldon Cottrell.  Since Dhawan is not part of the Test squad, the Delhi left-hander would like to finish the Caribbean assignment on a high. West Indies, on the other hand, would be desperate to save the series with a win. But for that to happen, West Indies’ batting unit will have to take more responsibility. It’s time talents like Shai Hope, Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran rise up to the occasion for West Indies cricket to thrive. The match at the Queen’s Park Oval could see the final international match for Chris Gayle in the Caribbean. Windies would be hoping to give the Universe Boss a potentially fitting farewell by squaring the series.Team CombinationIndia Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the key in India’s win and Virat Kohli will be happy with the way Shreyas Iyer batted. The ODI offers Rishabh Pant one more chance to showcase his batting prowess while the team might be tempted to replace Khaleel Ahmed or Mohammed Shami with Navdeep SainiProbable XI: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(w), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, K Khaleel Ahmed/Navdeep SainiWest IndiesWest Indies might not tinker with their combination much. With the game in Guyana being abandoned after just 13 overs, West Indies might not want to make any changes. They will be hoping that Chris Gayle will fire on his 300th ODI and there will be an added bonus of breaking Brian Lara’s record of most runs for West Indies and that too on his home ground.Probable XI: Evin Lewis, Chris Gayle, Shai Hope(w), Nicholas Pooran, Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Jason Holder(c), Carlos Brathwaite, Oshane Thomas, Sheldon Cottrell, Kemar RoachWho will win? The Indian cricket team know how to win the big moments as compared to the West Indies team. Be it in the bowling or batting, India hold an edge against the Windies.Weather and PitchThe chances of rain for the third ODI is 30 percent at Port of Spain. The forecast for the second ODI was 10 percent and even that resulted in a delay of more than one hour. Stadium and TimingsThe encounter will take place at Port of Spain Trinidad at 07:00 pm IST local.last_img read more

Mahrez, however, went down twice with what looked like an ankle problem. He was eventually forced off after just 27 minutes and looked in discomfort. With the traditional English season opener – the Community Shield – taking place next Sunday at Wembley against Chelsea, coach Guardiola will assess the Algerian’s fitness as the start of the Premier League campaign looms into view.Meanwhile Guardiola’s squad flew back to Manchester at the end of the Saturday match.City’s opening games against Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool had both ended in narrow defeats, but with Guardiola opting for familiarity — eight players in the starting lineup here had begun all three games of this US tour — it was another young side full of running.Bayern Munich’s goal keeper Sven Ulreich tries to block Manchester City’s Brahim Diaz during their International Champions Cup friendly in Miami © AFP / RHONA WISE“We analyzed our mistakes in the previous games and did it better against Bayern Munich,” said Guardiola. “We were able to play good and overcome the situation when we were 2-0 down.”Bayern’s main men Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery looked dangerous on the ball, yet with Mahrez afforded plenty of space in midfield the English champions dominated the early stages and really should have opened the scoring.Mahrez, who had already spent a few minutes getting treatment after being challenged, sent German-born City striker Nmecha through only for his shot be saved by Sven Ulreich. It wasn’t long before Nmecha had the opportunity to make amends as another classy through ball from Mahrez set him free, but this time he was denied by the post. That was to prove a costly couple of misses because on 14 minutes, Bayern were ahead.– Finds space –The lively Rafinha found space on the right and his cross was headed in by Meritan Shabani. It was a good team goal and on 23 minutes, Ribery and Robben combined for number two. The French midfielder’s lofted through ball found the Dutchman in the area and his two touches – one to control and one to expertly lift the ball past Claudio Bravo – were top class. And all of a sudden, a difficult evening for Guardiola darkened on 27 minutes when Mahrez was forced to leave the field with an injured ankle.Manchester City’s Douglas Luiz gets to grips with Bayern Munich’s Franck Ribery (L) during their International Champions Cup friendly in Miami © AFP / RHONA WISE“We will see, maybe it is not a problem,” said Guardiola. The Algerian limped off to be replaced by Portuguese midfielder Silva, who scored the goal his team’s display had deserved on the stroke of half-time.The former Monaco star ran unchallenged 25 yards out and produced an excellent low, curling finish leaving Ulreich with no chance. The Bayern keeper was being kept busy and on 51 minutes, he was picking the ball out of the back of the net once more after Silva fed Foden and when his curling shot was parried, Nmecha was on hand to steer home from close.No-one could begrudge this young City side a share of the spoils, but the game was turned on its head with 20 minutes remaining.A first City appearance for 17-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder Adrian Bernabe quickly resulted in a third goal for Guardiola’s side. The former Barcelona youngster teed up Silva who wriggled clear in the area before drilling low past Ulreich for the winner.0Shares0000(Visited 2 times, 1 visits today)last_img read more

One Pokémon Go player got all of Belgium banned

first_imgThe launch of Pokémon Go on Android and iOS has been rough for developer Niantic. At first, the company couldn’t keep its servers online, then it had to remove Pokémon tracking, and only now is it getting around to dealing with the endemic cheating going on in the game. Niantic has been aggressively banning cheaters, which is a good thing. One player wondered, though, could he get around that? It turns out no, he just ended up getting the entire country of Belgium banned. One of the most prominent forms of cheating in Pokémon Go is using an automated bot. Since Pokémon Go requires you to actually travel around to different areas in search of Pokémon and supplies, it takes more time and effort than other mobile games. A bot can spoof GPS and walk around for you, collecting Pokémon and items. To combat this, Niantic has been disabling the accounts of cheaters as well as banning their IP addresses.A Redditor using the handle “mewtwo_captured” decided to run a bit of an experiment. He used burner SIM cards to launch a huge number of connections to Pokémon Go from the same IP address, the address belonging to Belgian carrier Proximus. His theory was that by using this address, he could get unlimited access to the servers to run a Pokémon Go mapping service. After pinging the Pokémon Go servers a few thousand times, Niantic flagged the account as a bot and banned the IP address. This cut off all Proximus users from accessing Pokémon Go. The user deleted his or her account from Reddit, but other players have archived the posts. Niantic realized its error eventually and restored access to Proximus users the next day. This was only possible because Proximus was kind enough to offer free Pokémon Go data on pre-paid cards — it won’t be doing that anymore. See? This is why we can’t have nice things.
