PIE TIME: Through Halloween, pies at Marie Callender’s are $5 if you eat in or $6 for pickup. Normally they are $9 to $13.50. My favorite pies are chocolate, key lime and apple, but I am tempted by the Kahlua cream cheese pie and the “razzleberry” pie, which has raspberries and blueberries. TARGET 10% OFF: Target has a 10 percent-off coupon good on most purchases. It shaved a few dollars off a purple wrap sweater, a Kitchen Aid mixer and a Hello Kitty two-way radio online. Go to www.insidesocal.com/bargain for the code. Doesn’t look like it works in the store. Expires Dec. 31, but good deals like this don’t always last. Wahoo! URBAN DRINKS: Found myself a Lincoln Lunch at the newly opened Urban Eats on Magnolia Boulevard in Burbank, a few blocks down from the renowned Cuban bakery Porto’s. I ordered a small salad – you choose between mesclun or romaine lettuce plus three toppings and dressing – for $4.25. A large is $6.50, and you get two additional toppings. I picked corn, mushrooms and red onions with cilantro lime dressing, which was tangy but didn’t zap my taste buds. It looked big when it came, but two hours later I wished I had also ordered a side of focaccia bread for $1.50. But the salad is not the best deal at Urban Eats. All draft beers are $2 (normally $4.25) in October. They have Anchor Steam, Carlsberg Pilsner, Pyramid Hefeweizen and Urban Eats Honey Blonde on tap. Visit Porto’s at 3501 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank.
